Welcome to Community Bible Study!
Our mission is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all.
A Word from our Teaching Director
Studying God’s word this year has been amazing. In Galatians, Job, and Hebrews we have seen Jesus’ presence throughout the entire bible. We learned Christ is the central theme of the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. As Job said when he came to the end of himself, “I know my redeemer lives.” He came to us as Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us. Took our sins and is now sitting down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. There he is our Mediator, our High Priest, and the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him. He is everything we need and should be the foundation we build our lives upon. Hebrews reminded us of what an incredible Savior we have in Jesus!
For the coming year we are also going to be working on foundations. The book of Genesis, it is the foundation for the bible as a whole. It means the beginning or how something came into being, it’s origin. Genesis is the beginning to the Bible but also the beginning of God’s plan of redemption for the human race. We will see God’s greatness, His love, and His grace. We will see creation, rebellion, judgment, and forgiveness. Genesis never argues for God’s existence but describes His creation, His power, and His authority. We will explore the universal questions of “Where did I come from?” and “why am I here?” It will be an exciting year for everyone.
I hope you will decide to study with us!
