Studying John

Time to "Phone a Friend?"

You may remember the popular "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" that still airs in some distant corner of cable television. Centered around a contestant who has to answer increasingly difficult questions to win $1,000,000, each contestant had three "life lines", one of which was to phone a friend to ask for help. These friends were often not very helpful.

As we begin the class registration process for next year, this is your chance to be a meaningful lifeline for a friend! Who might you invite to learn more about God's love for them? There's no $1,000,000 to win, but it is a no-lose situation. God's word is always powerful, always meaningful, and always life changing. Why not phone a friend and invite them to CBS?

Matthews, NC 28104

Our first class is Thursday, Sept 5th at 9:30am Romans 2014-15 Course Outline

We are finishing:  The book of John

This warm, intimate study of the life of Jesus, the Word Incarnate, draws applications from his relationships with individuals and their distinct needs. The questions are straightforward, encouraging students to investigate the gospel first-hand, to understand Christ's claims, and to respond to the Truth.

Our children's program is now FULL.  Please join us in praying for God's provision so that we might provide classes in the fall for all those wishing to attend by having enough willing teachers.  WE wish ALL that wish to, to be able to come  and we trust in God's gracious provision.  If you are on the waiting list and wish to come next year, please come to the coffee April 3rd and sign up, or contact Leigh Fold on  or after 4/3. Please have all children's birth dates and information on registration forms.  We do see movement after school plans are finalized, but rarely have enough spots for all interested parties.

Registration for next year will begin in March for current members, and on April 3 at the visitors coffee at 9:30am at Siler Prebsyterian.  We will be studying ROMANS. Adult registration is $25 and children's is $10 each child.  Scholarships are available if needed.

Should you not have children currently in the program and desire for them to be in the program next year, it is a must you come and sign them up at the coffee to insure they will be in the program.

We still have room for women to register over the summer and be placed in a small group.  You may register at the opening day, but prior registration helps us know how many books we will need to have.  If you have any further questions, please just contact me via email at the above address.

If we have any informational coffees that might be of interest to you or ones you wish to bring friends to, we will post the time and location here on the website.

Have a blessed day!
